Coca-Cola HiFi System designed in the form of a giant can. A licensed piece created in 1985 under the Coca-Cola trademark. The two swing doors reveal a complete HiFi system with a laser disc player, dual audio cassette deck, and tuner. The speakers are integrated into the doors. The entire system has been fully refurbished and restored, with the laser disc replaced by a Bluetooth antenna, allowing connection to a phone or computer. The sound quality is excellent, with the components replaced and like new.
On April 23, 1985, Roberto Goizueta, then CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, announced a major event for the iconic soda, which turned out to be the biggest risk in Coca-Cola’s history. After 100 years of an unchanged formula, the company launched New Coke. The aim was to win the competition against its historic rival Pepsi, which was gaining favor with consumers, especially in terms of taste, according to several market studies.
This Coca-Cola HiFi system is sold in perfect working condition. The material (plastic front) shows small signs of aging, but its patina is entirely original. Restoring it would detract from its value. It has been updated to 220 volts and is sold with a 6-month warranty.
