This Mickey Welcome art Leblon Delienne is a collector's sculpture in resin, produced in a Small format approximately 30 cm high. The iconic silhouette of Mickey Mouse is revisited here in a primary palette of red, yellow, blue and white, structured by a network of fine black lines that directly evoke the aesthetic of Piet Mondrian. The welcoming posture, with arms stretched forward, makes this piece particularly suited to an entrance hall, office or reception area.
The surface features alternating matt and slightly satin-finished areas, reinforcing the graphic character of the whole and emphasising the volumes of the figure. This Mickey Welcome art Leblon Delienne is produced under official Disney licence, in the tradition of the French workshop founded in 1985 and specialising in "pop sculpture". Since its beginnings, Leblon Delienne has given a special place to Mickey Mouse, a central character in the Disney universe and a true icon of popular culture. The workshop explores different interpretations of the character, playing with sizes (Small, Medium, life-size) and finishes: bicolour, gold chrome, black & gold, wood or more graphic treatments. The “Mickey Welcome” series develops the same open and welcoming posture, conceived as a gesture of hospitality in domestic or professional spaces.
With this Mickey Welcome Art, the studio goes further in the dialogue between design and pop culture by drawing inspiration from the visual language of geometric abstract art. The blocks of primary colours and the structuring black lines transform Mickey’s silhouette into a genuine graphic totem. This approach illustrates Leblon Delienne’s ambition: to shift animated characters from the status of figurine to that of sculptural object, capable of engaging with contemporary furniture and gallery-inspired interior
