This 777 jet engine blade is a piece of aeronautical engineering taken from a Boeing 777 engine and transformed into a fully-fledged contemporary sculpture. Made from carbon and titanium, it features the twisted shape characteristic of fan blades - a twisted aerodynamic profile, a tapered leading edge, an exposed braided carbon inner surface and a mirror-polished titanium outer surface. This treatment reveals changing reflections depending on the incidence of light: deep blue, gold, violet and silver follow one another across the surface, giving the piece a rare and hypnotic optical presence.

The piece is mounted on a circular base in polished stainless steel, which accentuates the play of reflections and ensures stability commensurate with the weight and proportions of the whole. The shape of the blade, organic and taut at the same time, imposes itself as an abstract sculpture in its own right, without any intervention or modification to its original geometry.

This 777 jet engine blade is aimed at collectors of industrial art and aeronautical pieces, contemporary design fans and aviation enthusiasts who want to incorporate an object that is both technical and aesthetic into their space. Unique pieces made from materials whose rarity and exceptional physical properties are recognised in the aeronautical and collecting fields.

The Boeing 777, nicknamed the “Triple Seven”, is a wide-body long-haul airliner in production since 1994. Designed to connect major world cities without stopovers, it is powered by the most powerful turbofan engines ever fitted to a commercial aircraft: the General Electric GE90 or the Rolls-Royce Trent 800 depending on the variant. These turbines, whose fan blades reach dimensions unprecedented in civil aviation, represent one of the major technological challenges of modern aeronautics, combining extreme lightness, mechanical strength and aerodynamic precision.

The fan blades of 777-type engines are made from advanced composite materials — carbon and titanium — whose properties allow them to withstand considerable thermal and mechanical stresses at high rotational speeds. Manufactured through highly precise industrial processes, they rank among the most complex components in contemporary aeronautical engineering. Removed from engines at the end of their service cycle, they are today appreciated by collectors for their sculptural form, their noble materials and their direct connection to the history of commercial aviation.
