This Cast iron spotlight is an authentic French industrial luminaire, originally designed for environments where there is a risk of explosion. Its body is made from cast aluminium, a material prized for its mechanical strength and relative lightness. The whole unit rests on a circular base in matt black metal, stable and discreet.
The thick blown glass globe, in perfect condition, tops the body with its original gasket and clamping ring. The piece is offered entirely unrestored, giving it a clean, consistent industrial patina. It is supplied in 220V with an E27 socket and fitted with a large filament bulb, which emphasises the quality of the glass and the shape of the whole.
This luminaire will fit in naturally with any interior - loft, converted workshop, office or commercial space - whether placed on the floor or used as a spotlight.
