Police Station enamelled plaque - a rare piece dating from 1947, superbly preserved, with the elegant domed shape that gives it relief and presence. Made entirely from white and red enamelled metal, it has a remarkable brilliance that bears witness to the expertise of the great French workshops of the mid-twentieth century. The signature of Émaillerie de Lyon, discreetly placed at the bottom of the panel, confirms its quality and prestigious origin.
This directional sign, with its fine typography and bright red arrows, is typical of post-war institutional signage: legible, authoritative and instantly recognisable.
