This Topper twin sweet machine combines two coin-operated dispensers on a shared base, manufactured by Topper in the United States in the 1960s. Each module retains its original glass dome, engraved with the Topper logo, and its metal body, whilst the exterior finish has been fully restored in Coca-Cola colours, whilst preserving the metal’s original patina for an authentic look. The two coin-operated mechanisms operate independently and each dispenses its own contents.
The restoration has been carried out with great care: the Coca-Cola paintwork is bright and crisp, the chrome is clean, and the mechanisms of both coin acceptors have been serviced and are in perfect working order. The patina visible on certain metal parts has been deliberately preserved, striking a balance between a meticulous finish and the piece’s well-loved character.
