This pyramid suspension lamp is derived from an old urban lighting system. Its four-sided structure in perforated aluminium frames frosted square glass, producing a soft, even distribution of light. The perforations on the edges of each face create a play of light points that is characteristic of recycled industrial lighting.
The suspension is fitted with an E27 screw base, compatible with a filament LED bulb. The chrome-plated metal suspension chain is supplied for direct installation without modification. The whole unit is ready to install, wired and functional.
With its geometric lines and raw materials, this pyramid suspension lamp fits in with vintage, industrial or urban furnishings - whether above a dining table or in a corridor or workspace.

Public urban lighting underwent significant development in France from the second half of the 19th century onward, driven by the gradual electrification of cities. Metal lanterns and pendant lights designed for public spaces — streets, covered markets, railway station halls — were built to combine mechanical durability with effective light diffusion. Aluminum, lighter than cast iron, gradually established itself as the material of choice for suspended fixtures.
Once decommissioned, these salvaged urban light fixtures find a second life in interior decoration. Their sturdy construction and geometric forms, originally conceived for public spaces, give them a visual presence that contemporary production rarely matches with the same authenticity of material.
