This Bally Playboy Pinball machine machine is a 1978 model from the manufacturer Bally, presented here in a fully restored version for use at home or in a games room. The body has been refurbished with the pink, black and white decorations typical of the licence, while the original backglass has been retained, highlighting the Playboy graphic universe of the late 1970s. The illuminated game board follows the colour scheme of the original pinball machine, with bumpers, targets and ramps faithful to the original design.

This Bally Playboy Pinball machine has been overhauled to ensure that it works perfectly: the electronics have been checked, the mechanical parts serviced and the lighting and displays checked. The game can be played by up to four players, in the classic Bally configuration of the period, with central bumpers, falling target bank and bonus areas. The front controls retain the original coin door, game start button and side pinball machines, with the addition of a lock and keys to secure access.

A rare item that is hard to find in this condition, this pinball machine will appeal to both arcade game collectors and fans of vintage design linked to Playboy culture. Its slender silhouette, black lacquered legs and contrasting side decorations make it a powerful decorative feature in any living room, office or leisure space. An iconic pinball machine from the late 1970s, ready to be installed and used.

Created in 1953 by Hugh Hefner, the Playboy brand first made its mark through its magazine, combining reports, interviews and erotic imagery with an urban and sophisticated positioning. The famous rabbit-in-a-bow-tie logo quickly became a graphic symbol recognized worldwide, used on many media, from textiles to promotional objects.

The 1978 Playboy Bally pinball machine is part of this expansion of the brand into the world of leisure and game rooms. By combining the gameplay of Bally pinball machines with Playboy’s glamorous imagery, it illustrates the encounter between arcade culture and American popular culture of the 1970s. Today, this emblematic collaboration makes it a sought-after piece for collectors of licensed pinball machines and enthusiasts of vintage graphic design.
