The Bell UH-1Y Venom, nicknamed the “Super Huey”, is a transport and tactical support helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter for the US Marine Corps, replacing the historic UH-1N Twin Huey that had been in service since the 1970s. Entering service in the 2000s, the UH-1Y features upgraded engines, a four-blade composite rotor, and next-generation avionics, while retaining the characteristic silhouette of the Huey lineage made famous since the Vietnam War.
Used for troop transport, medical evacuation, fire support, and reconnaissance missions, the UH-1Y Venom currently equips several squadrons of the United States Marine Corps aviation.
