This Michael Schumacher Formula 1 Wheel is a Benetton F1 competition wheel fitted with a Goodyear Eagle slick tyre, bearing the racing markings visible on the sidewall. The five-spoke aluminium rim is painted black with a bright yellow surround reminiscent of the yellow/black Camel livery of the Benettons of the time, and features the Benetton logo in the centre. The technical inscriptions and references engraved on the rim confirm that it was used in the Formula 1 World Championship in the early 1990s.
The slick tyre has a worn and marked surface, typical of driving in Grand Prix conditions, with handwritten annotations in grease pencil (set number, engineer's references) still visible on the rubber. This Michael Schumacher Formula 1 Wheel comes from Michael Schumacher's Benetton period, when he contested his first Grands Prix at the start of the 1992 season, before the switch to the next generation of chassis.
