This JAWA 500cc speedway motorbike has been fully restored by the French Atelier to the highest standards, with attention paid to every detail of the finish. The bodywork - mudguards, frame, forks and fork protector - is finished in an electric racing blue, highlighted by the chrome elements: polished tank with Jawa logo, large spoked rims, pipes and fittings. The white racing number bearing the inscription "JAWA" in fuchsia pink is mounted in racing position on the front frame. The whole assembly rests on a steel presentation stand.

True to the specifications of a genuine speedway motorbike, this JAWA has no brakes, gearbox, shock absorbers or footpegs - in accordance with the strict rules of the discipline. The single-cylinder 500cc engine, fuelled by methanol in its original configuration, is fully visible and well cared for. Studded tyres on chrome rims complete the machine's raw, mechanical visual identity.

This speedway motorbike is a unique piece in its finish, presented in collector's condition. It will appeal to motorbike and motorsport enthusiasts, collectors and lovers of unusual décor who want to incorporate an authentically restored competition machine into a living room, showroom or living space.

Speedway is a motorcycle discipline contested on oval dirt tracks, characterized by high-speed controlled slides through corners — never once touching the brakes. Speedway bikes are machines built entirely for this purpose: single-cylinder 500cc engines running on pure methanol, with no brakes, no gearbox, and no suspension, reduced to the strictest minimum weight. The discipline demands exceptional technical and physical mastery, with machine control relying solely on throttle input and slide angle.

JAWA, the Czechoslovak manufacturer founded in 1929, established itself from the 1960s onward as the reference builder for speedway motorcycles. Its engines, renowned for their reliability and power output, equipped the majority of world champions in the discipline across several decades. Restored JAWA machines from actual competition use are today sought after by collectors as testimony to a form of pure racing engineering, stripped of anything unnecessary.
